We continue to grow!
Students graduate with hands-on biotechnology lab experience
Lahainaluna High School's progressive biotechnology program is in its fourth year. The class is a hands-on career and technical education lab course. Through a technologically advanced learning lab students get the opportunity to work with state of the art equipment. They learn career and technical education using real world techniques in several different scopes: genetic engineering, microbiology, protein studies, and DNA analysis. The course has two concentrations; medical biotechnology and natural resources biotechnology.
Students love a hands-on experience, and to this end the program continues to grow each year. We are proud to announce that this year we have 50 students in two classes!
